Who we are and what we do

Charged Leads finds business owners who want help with their power bill and books them into appointments with commercial energy brokers. We run advertising and enquiry forms (including Meta/Facebook and Instagram lead forms) to collect these enquiries, we call enquirers (including with an AI voice assistant) to confirm they are a fit, and we book appointments into our broker clients’ calendars. We also provide our broker clients with a client dashboard.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

Business owners and managers who enquire:

• Name, email address and phone number
• Business name, industry and location (suburb, state, postcode)
• Details about your power bill, such as the monthly amount and whether you own or manage it
• Notes and recordings from calls we make to you, your preferred appointment time, and anything else you enter in our forms

Energy broker clients:

• Business name and contact name
• Email address, phone number and service area/state
• Account, billing and payment-related information

Collected automatically:

• Device and usage data such as IP address, browser type, and how you interact with our sites (including via cookies and similar technologies)

We do not intentionally collect sensitive information, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

How we collect it

We collect information directly from you when you complete a form on our websites or a Facebook/Instagram lead ad, when you contact us, and when you use our client dashboard. We also collect technical data automatically through cookies.

How we use your information

• To confirm business enquiries meet our criteria and book them with a suitable energy broker
• To deliver booked appointments and services to our broker clients
• To create and manage client accounts, dashboards and billing
• To respond to enquiries and provide support
• To operate, maintain, secure and improve our services
• To send service and, where permitted, marketing communications (you can opt out at any time)
• To meet our legal obligations

How we share your information

• With energy brokers: if you ask for help with your power bill, your enquiry details (such as name, contact details, business details and power bill details) are provided to the one energy broker your appointment is booked with, so they can meet with you.
• With service providers: we use trusted third parties to run our business, including payment processing (Stripe), website hosting, and email and SMS delivery. They may only use your information to provide services to us.
• For legal reasons: where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety and property of Charged Leads or others.

We do not sell your personal information for third-party advertising. Our business is booking business owner enquiries with energy brokers as described above.

Facebook and Instagram lead ads

When you submit a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, Meta shares the information you provide with us so we can process your enquiry. Meta’s own handling of your data is governed by Meta’s Privacy Policy.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here, to run our business, and to meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements, after which it is deleted or de-identified.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including encryption and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Your rights and choices

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, and you may ask us to delete it. You can opt out of marketing at any time via the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. To make a request, use the contact details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
